Description

This unit introduces an integrated approach to thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer, with the aim of unifying these themes so that boundaries between disciplines becomes transparent. The module focuses on the application of these disciplines to various manufacturing based applications and devices or equipment, incorporating one, two or more of the disciplines. The delivery of module will ensure students are given examples and problems that illustrate how the three disciplines are integrated in practice.
